In April 2007, Germany hosted the second annual British Music Week, a week-long celebration of the best new British popular music with shows in Cologne, Hamburg, Munic and Berlin. Over 70 British artists played to 20.000 eager fans across the week, at more than 84 shows throughout the country, resulting in the largest coordinated promotion for instrinsically British music ever seen in Germany.
